This literally saved my project!

I doubted this would work when sewing a nightgown for fine silk. I pulled my hair out trying to sew the bias binding because it was bubbling and the stitching was all over the place, even with a million needles. This leg did it! Makes a straight line along the edge and looks professional!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Will not fit all

Defective product Waste of money

DO NOT BUY SEWING PARTS ON AMAZON, go to a reputable sewing machine dealer. It costs money. This product is cheaper as it is only part of actual Brother parts. My item was defective. I immediately suspected something was wrong because it didn't have the usual instructions that appear on the packaging of a genuine Brother part. The main screw was improperly seated at an angle that prevented easy leg adjustment. I had to disassemble everything to make it work. When I tried to unscrew the screw…

Pros
  • Fits Brother, Janome, Singer, Babylock, Kenmore and many other snap foot sewing machines. The adjustment range is 5 mm to 20 mm.
Cons
  • I will add later

You insert the fastener into the U-shaped foot and then place the fabric edge to be cut in the central groove like a sandwich filling. Once the three layers of fabric are attached, lower the sewing foot onto the feed dogs and your teeth should pull the entire sandwich forward as you sew. This only worked for me on straight edges. The leg could not follow a…

Pros
  • Simple fabric piping (width adjustable from 5mm to 20mm in one direction) You can pre-sew the good side of the pocket perfectly into the fabric, the piping is ready
Cons
  • Expensive

Worked well after removing excess plastic.

After I removed the extra plastic (see below) everything worked fine. I've only used it for 1/4" double-sided binding. You need to start binding over the plastic guide guide without lifting the presser foot off the machine. You may need to pry it out with an awl or needle. Turn the screw on the Back determines the position of the needle on the edge. The thumbscrew on the side keeps the piping pressed to the left against the edge of the fabric. When installing the thumbscrew, ignore the mm…
