Review on πŸ’š GLITTIES ICY Mint Loose Glitter Powder: Versatile Cosmetic Grade Fine Glitter for Makeup, Body & Nail Art by Cathy Sharp

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The old lady learned a new trick

A small glass, but lots of glitter! I saw a show where they created their own lip gloss by mixing simple shine with glitter (cosmetic grade, ultra thin! NO artisan shine). This is to replicate the hot trend of holographic lips. I have chapstick tubes (every time I go without it I buy a new tube). So I mixed them up with some of that glitter and voila! The gloss is a great color (champagne) and goes well with my Burts Bees puree, chapstick and other brands. I have a small storage container and it works fine. I even used this eye glitter mix as an experiment and after three days I have glitter all over my face so don't use it on the eyes unless you rub them out of habit. Although I will say it didn't bother my eyes by getting in my eyes. And it's beautiful. But I'm too old to really go out with it, so I buy a new lip gloss and make it for my nieces. I must be wearing an old shiny shirt now which is because of the sequins on my forehead lol! Obviously the REAL holographic thing is very expensive. Another LOL - I tried to take a picture of my lips like young girls do when they take a selfie. Everything plump and plump. Oh no. After three I gave up and still had to cut. I always thought it was a silly pose and why is everyone doing it but do it while the lips are young and full! Hahaha!
