I am also having the issues described in the original post. I bought a 48x TDK 50 disc spindle. They sent me a 52x 50 pack spindle. So far about 5 out of 25 have successfully burned out regardless of speed. With Nero. I use the much less vaunted Verbatim which are over two years old no problem. I don't know what to do with it. Before this purchase, I had only had rave reviews for TDK CD-R media.
