I wanted a holder for my controller so I wouldn't get lost or step on it. I installed it on the underside of my chair armrest within reach, thinking I'd be more likely to use it if I made it comfortable enough. But the controller is balanced on the mount, not held. I have to be very careful not to knock the controller out of the holder when I reach for it. It falls out regularly, so I have to crawl between the chair and the wall to get it. Sitting on a chair is no problem, the controller doesn't fall out when I sit on a chair. Be careful when assembling it. It grabs as soon as it touches the surface and doesn't get a chance to reposition itself unless you do it the way you planned. So I couldn't move it, hoping to make the controller more secure. Lack of storage might not be an issue if you set it up so you can look at it while you take out the controller. I do not know. I cannot recommend this product.
