Review on N-Bone QUADO Pumpkin-Flavored Interactive Chew, Ginormous Size, Large by Andrew Vijayakumar

Revainrating 3 out of 5

NOT DURABLE: Dry

First the benefits. This bone is just as it says, perfect for standing upright while my dog chews. I bought pumpkin flavor and let me tell you that my apartment smelled like freshly baked pumpkin pie when I opened the package. It smells very strong (but very good) and I was even tempted to lick it myself (no reviews on this). , Excuse me). Unfortunately, I cannot rate myself more than 3 stars for a number of reasons. I have a 1.5 year old corgi, 24 pounds, and he chews a lot. I've had to buy special thick rawhide elastics and only large nylabons for much larger dogs seem to last a decent amount of time. I had seen these four-sided dice at Marshall before, so I decided to give it a try. I knew it wasn't nylon/plastic but was hoping the larger size and thickness would help it withstand my chewing machine. I was wrong. Within 20 minutes of giving it to him, one of the "legs" was already gone. He chewed it through and ate it whole as if it were a treat. I took it off him so he wouldn't finish everything and noticed it was weak/pliable in the middle due to his saliva so I just broke the 3 remaining legs into individual pieces and used them as treats. My general problem is the lightness. that he chewed and ate it. If I hadn't noticed that the first bite was missing, he would have eaten it all, which is more than half his daily ration. I was hoping that a chew toy of this size would last a while - obviously not as long as nylon, but at least a decent amount of time. Having a 24 pound dog able to finish a 'huge' chew toy designed for a dog over 41 pounds is a bit ridiculous. They seem like great products but unfortunately they don't last long enough to justify the cost. I can imagine buying the smaller versions to use as a special treat, but that's about all they're good for.
