I live in Florida. My wife and I are avid beach lovers. These floor mats are ideal for protecting your car carpet from sand, mud, dirt, spills and moisture. Over the years I have had several different rubber mats (Wal-Mart specials). This set of four was cheaper than a single mat from Wal-Mart. These doormats are a heavy rubber mat but are easily cut to size with standard household scissors. I have a 2010 Dodge Journey; The rear mats fit perfectly. The front driver's mat had to be adjusted slightly to fit the 'footrest' on the left side and slightly higher to avoid touching the pedals. I trimmed the mat on the passenger side to fit, but since there are no pedals I might as well leave it alone. Some reviewers have complained about the smell of rubber when the mats are new. It smelled light. I opened the box, separated 4 mats and put them on the back deck to air out for 24 hours. I then took them to the car to see if they fit. With scissors and ten minutes, everything worked out great! That day we received one of our patented Florida summer afternoon showers. No wet carpet for me! Whenever you need to clean these rugs, simply hose them down with soapy water and lay them out in the sun to dry. No trouble! I liked these mats so much that I immediately ordered a second set for our "non-beach and camping" car.
