Compared to inferior mounts that detach for no apparent reason, this one at least stays in place. However, the 1/4" threaded rods get stuck in the sockets when you try to loosen it and will just let the wheels fall out if you're not really careful. I love that I can tighten this up and my 9" monitor can hold .in place but i've used it to store much lighter stuff because it's very unreliable and still loses its sticks and falls apart.it's good for indie grids when people know you can't get all those multi-hundred dollar hands at any given time, so I recommend using this specifically when you're paying the least for a hand that holds a big monitor, just be very careful that it doesn't fall apart.
