We have a tile floor and another plastic table and chairs that I could find at a toy store just slipped and fell over when my son tried to sit on them. there was a problem with it. I love that the table is height adjustable and the chairs are incredibly stable (my husband is 250 pounds and he can sit on them). My gripe is that the tabletop isn't smooth, so if you plan on using it as a desk, be sure to put something underneath so the writing is smooth and scratches easily (see /marks - those are all nicknames) . in the table) I think for the price of the table it will be more durable. (My son just turned two and used it about once or twice a week for 6 months to play with plastic men and paint so he wasn't aggressive with it.)
