I bought this product when my family was away for the weekend and I didn't want my fish to starve. The instructions weren't very clear, but luckily the setup is intuitive and you can watch videos of similar products online. I can't rate the battery life yet because it's too early. My only concern is that I don't think it's great with muesli. This works, but you'll need to do a few tests to make sure you're opening the window wide enough to allow enough flakes to fall out due to different flake sizes in the same bottle. It's also very quiet and I also love the fact that it has a manual feed option and you can rotate it to get it at the right angle or spot on your tank. In general I am satisfied with this product.
