the belt seems fine. In the end I didn't need it. I found information on the Sharks website that said their belts have a lifespan of 5 years. Growing up we always needed to replace the vacuum cleaner so I just assumed I needed it. I took my vacuum apart to inspect the belt and it still looked in good condition. Then a hole formed in my vacuum hose (about 5 years old). I emailed the seller twice asking for a return. I never received an answer.
