Review on Hot Off Press Blossoms Colorist by Morgan Gilmore

BUYER ATTENTION! I bought two of these little coloring books direct from Hot Off The Press and am very disappointed. While the drawings themselves, some beautiful and some not so good, are ok, the DESIGN INK LUBERS a lot! Only with colored pencils the ink smudges all over the place and you have to be very careful not to touch them with the ink stick or they will pull the black into the color you are using. I use regular Prismacolor Premier and Prismacolor Scholar colored pencils, so my pencils are of good quality. This also happens with the good old Crayola colored pencils. This is utterly frustrating. When using water-based Spectrum Aqua or Distress markers, the dye-based ink bleeds across the paper without remaining in desired areas. The alcohol based Spectrum Noir markers worked much better but bleed profusely so remove the side you are working on from your tablet before coloring. I would definitely recommend it. I guess I'll just put these coloring pages in my grandkids' coloring basket. Color works well on them. If you are looking for good quality, don't buy them.
