Description of Wind Weather Thermometer Finished Tabletop

Beautiful: The mix of handsome cherry-finished wood and jewel-tone colors accentuates any space. Educational: The laws of physics are on display as the principle of buoyancy tells the temperature. Practical: This fully-functional thermometer tells the indoor temperature between 64 and 76 ̊ F. Conversation-Worthy: For anyone who’s never seen a Galileo, explanations will be in order. Unique Gift: The perfect idea for someone who “has everything” or the amateur meteorologist.

Great gift! for thermometers and meteorological instruments

Beautiful and unusual gift. It took forever to get here, but that's the interesting part. Based on other reviews I put some museum wax underneath to keep it from tipping over and breaking.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Drill package

Came didn't work but the packaging was very good

Came and didn't work, all the bullets were at one end of the tube. I wanted to try ordering a second time but no longer available. This was a replacement for one I've had for 20 years that just tipped over and broke.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

Very thin thermometer

This Galileo is beautiful but very gentle even in a wooden box. It was already broken when accidentally knocked over. Worst of all was cleaning oil and thin glass. I would buy it again but keep it in a very safe place where it can't be knocked over.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Negative impression

Beautiful and unique piece!

The Galileo thermometer is even more beautiful than it looks in the photo. The wooden frame is very colorful and is perfect for the glass piece. The packaging was good to protect this fragile piece of glass. This is a birthday gift and I'm sure the recipient will love it! I can either redeem it for myself or for another gift!

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Beautiful and elegant

It is beautiful and the finish is elegant. I took off a star because the wood is stained and not stained, so cherry blossom and not cherry blossom. There are also small abrasions on the upper edge, but these are only noticeable on closer inspection. It stands fairly stable, but if hit hard it may tip over. If I had a cat, I would fix it with museum putty.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Zero

Beautiful, interesting, interesting to look at

I gave it to my husband for his birthday, but secretly I've wanted it for myself for a long time! It is interesting to watch the temperature change. It's like a work of art, very beautiful. I chose a framed thermometer because I liked it and thought it would be safer than just having glass to protect it. Looks great in our apartment and my husband likes it too.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • There are flaws

Nice knick knack, bad box

To replace a defective Galileo thermometer. This is a very nice version of the product. It seems to be working properly, although we haven't used it for more than a season. One star off because the packaging is terrible. The outer box was too big and not enough bubble wrap to compensate. Everything was crumpled, the tape began to fall off. Luckily the thermometer itself is well protected with styrofoam, so no damage. We look forward to having this on our mantel for many years to come.

Pros
  • Useful not only for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great technology from 500 years ago. Yay Galileo!

Its "accuracy" is +/- 2 degrees as it is the distance between the bulbs. Each lightbulb attached to a metal temperature tag maintains the same weight within a fixed volume. However, the liquid they are suspended in becomes less dense as it expands at a higher temperature, causing the spheres to sink. The lowest floating ball is the current temperature. The wooden frame is also well made and finished and matches the furniture I placed it on. Very nice gift but I keep it for myself and buy a pair

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Functionality

Beautiful and functional

I got another Galileo thermometer a few years ago, it fell over and broke and it stinks! Whatever the clear liquid is, it's the smell of kerosene. So I wanted another, stronger one. I really liked the look of this particular thermometer and thought the wooden case might protect it. It's quite large and the wood isn't that strong, so it feels a bit unstable, but I'm probably projecting because of my fear of a broken thermometer cleaning. On closer inspection the wood is 100% decorative and any…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
