I am a commercial pilot and needed to send my Proflight headset in for repairs so I needed a replacement headset and didn't want to pay $700-$1200 for it. I saw these and thought I'd give them a try. Wow, that's TERRIBLE. Firstly, I was fine with the fact that there is no bluetooth to connect to your phone or tablet as I figured I could use the 3.5mm jack to connect to my tablet or phone to use the call dispatcher. nope! The headset plays music from your device, but not phone calls. I still can't use the in-flight music function, but even if I could, there's no auto-off while communicating with ATC; a big security issue! Next, let's talk about ANR. That's ridiculous! It seemed to work when taxiing and then when I increased the power for take off the ANR couldn't handle the noise and vibration and made many piercing loud squeaks. I tried resetting it but it kept crashing so I can only use the headset with ANR off. Finally, with ANR off, the sound quality is terrible, like you're in a tunnel and ATC is talking to you from the other side. just a dull, echoing sound. Additionally, the speakers seem to vibrate or emit a rattling noise at the end of what someone says, which is incredibly annoying. To be honest if I could give 0 stars I would. In my professional opinion they are complete GARBAGE, they look more like a child's toy than a serious device. Don't even waste your time and money.
