The belt itself is nice, not too long and not too short, and the material goes really well with suede or velvet. However, the smell was terrible! I took it with me to my Thanksgiving outfit and it came in the mail the day I left so I packed it in my suitcase unopened. I took it out of the box on Thanksgiving morning and it smelled like mold. I thought it was just for airing but no. Even the ghosts couldn't hide it. I figured you could only smell it if you put your nose to it, and who would do that to my belt? I was wrong. My 12 year old son pulled me aside to figure out what that smell was. Pooh. I changed right after dinner. I washed it when I got home; I hand washed it with warm water and a nice smelling detergent and hung it to dry. The smell is gone, that's good. Moral of the story: wash before wearing.
