What kind seems obvious. I think it's a little wrinkled? But my kids, none of whom wet the bed, don't seem to mind. My wife bought it and I honestly don't know why, but it looks like it will do the job it says it will. I'll go home and pour some water on him to make sure and I'll report back. Edit: hey boy, that was a bad idea. I can confirm that the protector is waterproof, but apparently it's frowned upon in some circles to check at 6am.
