I have a 40/45 lb Pittie lab mix that is not particularly tight or fat. His sizing ranges from small to medium, and yet I feel like the medium size fits quite loosely. Velcro can only pull me very tight (even with a harness worn underneath). However, the size isn't extreme enough to justify a resizing (especially when the small size is seen as insanely small in reviews). I am generally satisfied with the quality. This is your standard fleece and will hold up well. It hugs the top and torso well and hangs slightly underneath as it is not chubby. I will update if it shrinks in the wash or just won't stand up. But so far great for the 50s weather we had. This was bought for regular walks and hikes in cold weather. TBD how he keeps on the hikes! Definitely recommend.
