Perfect for my daughter's lunch box! The size is perfect and pretty much fits a 7 year old so you can pack other things for her lunch as well. I've made mac and cheese for lunch, chicken alfredo, soups and haven't had any leak issues so far. I followed the directions and would recommend following them to keep the food warm. I pour very hot (or boiling water) water with the lid closed for 10-20 minutes. Then shake it out and dry it with a paper towel before putting warm food in it, and she ate warm food at lunchtime (after 3.5-4 hours). I only wash by hand according to the instructions. Throwing it in the dishwasher is obviously easier, but I wouldn't recommend it. The plastic/rubber ring in the lid prevented her lunch box from spilling.
