attractive and practical

I needed two red bedspreads and this was exactly what I was looking for. They are thin and light, perfect for summer. According to the label, they are 100% microfiber polyester, which must explain the smell. They give off a lot of gas but I have a sensitive nose so I need another person to judge that. The color is a little bright red, but very suitable for those who are looking for red. From afar, the fabric looks sewn. No, that is not so; it's embossed - upon closer inspection, the embossments are small dots that hold the fabric together. On one of them there were just a few templates labeled like they mark the seams and darts on the pattern. There was no embossing at these locations and the material was not held together. The fabric also had a crease that looked like a tear until I saw that the embossing was holding the crease. The pattern is nice but in one of the kits I received it wasn't very well done. Because of the embossing, bedspreads are similar to a quilt that you buy with an embossed pattern and then sew on the embossed pattern to quilt it. If I had time (lots of time, this is a tricky pattern) I could hand sew it and make a beautiful blanket, but that's not possible. Especially since I need them this weekend. The bedspreads are beautiful and practical, but I am sending them back due to the lack of embossing. I don't know how long this will last if improper embossing has already detached parts of the material. The attached photos give a better idea. Where there is no embossing, weak points can be seen. The color appears pink in the photo; it is not. My camera couldn't get the color right, but it is indeed red. The duvets didn't fit me, but I would recommend them.
