During the normal soldering process, if you "wet" the tip with solder (which helps conduct heat to the solder joint), you'll find: EVER! The solder "sticks" to the tip, causing the solder to "fiddle" next to the tip as the joint heats up. This means you have to spend more time waiting for the joint to heat up (which can ruin the components!), and when the "ball" rolls the whole process can get messy and waste a lot of solder. I soldered. so I've had a lot of soldering experience since I was a teenager (I'm 66 now). These tips are useless! Don't waste money. I want to send them back for a loan!
