Review on 🔧 Zing Ear ZE-208s Ceiling Fan Canopy Rotary Control Switch - Nickel Finish, 3 Speed 4 Wire Pull Chain, CeilingFanSwitch Replacement for Better Functionality by Mark Williams

I have been working on DIY projects with switches for many years. The instructions are fine - note the location of each cable and replace accordingly. But they were not needed when each wire was replaced. (Switches also have numbers so you can make sure the wire you're replacing goes in the right place.) To do this, I had to cut each wire and strip the end of it to connect it to the new switch. The method of connecting wires is unconventional. The wires are forced into the slot, and it's unclear if they connect. I turned on the power and heard a buzz, but no movement of the blades. Apparently they don't connect or the switch doesn't work.
