The screen is like new again!

My toddler decided to throw his iPad Air across the bedroom because I was playing Mickey Mouse Club instead of Puppy Dog Pals. The iPad still worked 100%, but the screen was completely broken. I started looking for a replacement screen and got stuck there. It wasn't the cheapest, but still reasonably priced, and it came with a set of repair tools. I have never replaced a screen on any device so the all in one repair kit was the best choice for me. The set arrived a few days after ordering. There were no instructions so I uploaded the tutorial to YouTube and started smashing the screen. Removing the old screen took the longest as it was completely smashed. I did this on paper towels to easily discard the pieces that fell off when I scraped off the glue. The final part of removing the old screen was detaching it from the LCD underneath. I then cleaned the LCD with the cloth provided in the kit to ensure any remaining residue was removed and then hooked up the new screen. The final part was gluing the new screen in place, which took a few tries to line up perfectly with the home button and camera hole. I turned it on and everything worked great. I've seen some other reviews mentioning ghost touches, but it's been about a month since I've replaced the screen and still no issues. The ONLY issue I have is due to my own error. I scratched the LCD several times while removing the old screen and now the iPad has some dead pixels on the sides that aren't really noticeable. Other than that, it's like a shiny new iPad again without a big shop repair bill, and it took me about 45 minutes. I highly recommend this kit if you can find and follow the youtube guides.
