Decent semi-rigid cushioning shoe with a balanced fit. I put it in the width "a little amiable". (I'm a little small). Regarding the heel cup, I had a creek start etc with a hard plastic/cardboard heel cup and after feeling this I thought that might be the case but it turns out it wasn't at the same point. The pressure was there on day one but so bad that I didn't want to own a second pair with a semi-rigid platform, they are rock solid indeed after quickly being worn/come off another smooth shoe. Test 5-10 miles for a few days and it doesn't work, at least for me. I use an extra sole in a shoe and this is where it happened, but it's not for me. Maybe my back heel is overkill strong enough, who knows, but this problem can really ruin your foot. If you're thinking about trying these, you like the look and don't mind the mostly semi-rigid cushioning boots and have them on sale it might be worth a try the heel is a bit stiff but all shoes are like that.
