A lifesaver, especially when you need to replace your Kohler bath faucet

NOTE. If you have a Kohler spout, read the footer of this review. I would give this thing 10 stars if I could. It has a nice smooth surface, no burrs or scratches and looks like nickel. Polished nickel finish matches Kohler products tee. Consisting of the plate itself and the piece of foam that fits inside, the kit is flexible to fit any typical copper faucet or bathtub spout. after few years. While Kohler keeps their products leak-free for life and sent me a replacement, they also decided to make the spouts longer. My nose was only about 7 years old so I was annoyed. Kohler sent me two replacements, but both are about an inch longer than my spout, so the spout hits the wall before I can screw it onto the pipe. :one. Ask a plumber to cut my pipe.2. Cut the pipe and/or switch to a ceiling outlet (no fan).3. Buy a replacement spout adapter and hope it's long enough for me to attach the spout. I chose option 3 on the recommendation of my plumber. Unfortunately, the shortest adapter I could find was about a half inch longer, so I ended up with about 5/8 inch clearance between the wall and the spout. An eyesore, to put it mildly. I ordered a Danco spout ring as it almost completely filled the gap. There's still a gap, but it could be 1/32 inch or less, not even noticeable. NOTE: If you have a Kohler spout that is a few years old like mine, I ordered this. I replaced the Devonshire spigot that had about 3 5/8" pipe coming out of the wall. The new ones use a 4" section of pipe. I bought an Anderson Metals brass fitting, an adapter, a 1/2" male pipe and a 1/2" inner pipe This allowed me to use a new Devonsire spout but with gap so I bought this Danco product, if you can find a shorter tube adapter you probably don't even need a Danco ring.
