So I'm just updating my review on March 4th 2021. The original purchase was in June 2020. While this device technically my computer still holding, it's definitely not holding him like it should. The self-adhesive rubber pads used to grip the case fell off sometime in December 2020. After they fell, the computer began to slide all over the table with small movements and was unstable. It fell back into the bracket as shown in my photos, but the top of the computer got caught on top of the bracket and my desk. So basically it tilts backwards at an angle of about 10 degrees and won't fall out just because it hits the bracket and table. More permanent (screw or bolt) anti-slip pads must be supplied with this unit. Or just apply real glue to the pads you use. Something thick like these 3M gel pads or something. First overview below ---------------------------------------------- - ------- --------------------------------- --------- - --------- ---------- So don't be like me and make assumptions about this bracket: I assumed my computer weighed less than 22 pounds. It actually weighed 23 pounds, so I removed the hard drive to make sure it was within the weight limit. I also assumed that there was ENOUGH space under my desk to easily mount the computer. That was wrong for two reasons. 1.) My computer tower was too tall to be mounted from a top mount with the intention of rotating it without getting in the way too much (to give it enough room to rotate) 2.) I don't have it did. I don't mind that I want one side facing out. I could install it somewhere else on my desk that would be further away, but having the accessible side face me (since I can't rotate it) would have the wires pointing towards the center of the room. It would have made it worse because part of the reason I wanted this mount in the first place was to improve the organized look in my computer room. Under the table, which side do you want to turn towards you, and will there be room to turn it if you intend to (get out your tape measure and check!). doesn't bother and looks much better than before. Next is the mount itself. I have an issue with the slider that adjusts the height of the mount. To adjust it, it has two ways to fix it on ONE SIDE of the railing. There is a screw in the center of the rail that holds it in place and allows it to slide up and down, but it doesn't really support the floor. Once you get the height you want, attach it on one side with a hand screw and a hex head screw. That means all of your computer's weight is on one side of the railing. I don't understand why they couldn't just install another hex bolt or hand screw on the opposite side to distribute the weight to both sides of the mount. The next problem I have is that you can't attach it correctly at the top and bottom depending on the height of your computer case. I have attached a picture of my top and you can see there is a gap between the computer and the mount. I could have left out the included rubber pads and they would ONLY fit in the next notch/hole, but then they would slide around all over the place. (I tried it and found it less secure). I figured there was a way to tweak the height setting in the same way as the width setting. Another wrong assumption on my part. Despite all this, the computer still sits quite firmly in the holder and does not move, although it is not firmly clamped on all sides. I don't think it will fall out of the holder. I'm concerned as I understand the maximum capacity of the mount correctly that it may not have durability, but I think I'll find out (final weight after removing my drive was 21.8 pounds). For the price paid I think it's a pretty decent mount hence 4 stars instead of 3. If it fails soon I will update my review.
