I read one of these BuzzFeed listings and was tricked into buying them to use as oven mitts. I get regular hand cramps so I prefer gloves over mittens and when I saw they recommend them as a replacement I fell for it, hook, cord and sinker. Heat is transferred to the skin very quickly. If you can move your baking pans quickly and aren't afraid of spills they might work for you, but if you're normal or clumsy I wouldn't use them unless you like lifting hot food and glass out of the oven and yours kitchen floor. Pros: They're thick, they're really comfortable, and I can use them when grilling!
