No instructions included, card included Locksmith/programmer recommendations only. However, since other reviewers included instructions in their reviews, I was able to program both remotes right away. I followed these instructions for my Ford Explorer XLT. If following the Expedition manufacturer's instructions doesn't work for you, do the following: 1. Close all doors, then open the driver's door and press the unlock button on the driver's door while it is open.2. Within 10 seconds, cycle the ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times, ending with RUN on the 8th time. The door locks will lock and unlock to confirm you have entered programming mode (Off is the position where you can remove the key, "Run" is the position where you can hardly start the car. When the door locks don't work, try again.but faster.If they still won't start, your car may not have keyless entry)3. Within 8 seconds, press any button on the first keyless remote to be programmed. The door locks will be cycled through to confirm the programming. If you only have one remote control, skip to step 5.4. Press any button on the second keyless remote within 8 seconds. The door locks will click again to confirm the programming. Repeat step 4. for all other remote controls.5. Turn off the ignition. The locks switch again, indicating the end of the programming mode. Very happy with this product. It's so nice to find the perfect solution at an affordable price.
