Review on Anna Griffin Books Crafting Techniques by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I can't even read the title on the first page!

If you're under 30, work in bright light, have 20/20 close-up vision, and really want to reproduce Anna Griffin's postcards, this book is for you. Otherwise, expect something from HOTP or CanDo Crafts. There are some very attractive and attractive card designs here, but the instructions are illegible (had to have a friend read the ISBN on the back so I could do this review!). The publisher photographs the cards (always in pastels) with a blurred lens against a very detailed "artistic" background, the inside pages of the book (actually a long pamphlet) are patterned in ivory or grey-green, and the instructions are printed in small gray or brown print, ink (sometimes in writing!) over it. Anna's cards always strike me as straight out of a romance novel and they are beautiful, but good luck trying to see/follow the instructions.
