It's getting hot in here, and not for the better

I bought this on sale at a major store. Charged and gladly used in Bose NC headphones. It got pretty hot and lasted 10 minutes before warning me of a low battery. My husband asked me if I wanted to start a fire by "trying" to use it again. I went online and found only one review worse than mine. At least the kit included a good retractable charging cable.
