I really like this simple but high-quality chain. It feels essential thanks to the metal alloy beads. Each silver bead has a complex geometric shape and is separated from the next by a knot of brown textile material used to thread the beads. The beads are the same size and shape but twist on a string so they face different directions to show the edges. There are also some variations on tying knots as this is a handmade necklace that creates a visually interesting pattern and gives it a great everyday look. It's fun to wear. I was a little concerned that the metal would scratch my skin or snag on my clothing, but neither of those issues are a problem. The necklace is heavy (lots of beads) but very comfortable to wear. It has no clasp or clasp as this necklace is easy to place on your head, eliminating the possibility of any hardware coming loose or failing. This necklace must be in one strand; it's not quite long enough to double. I think the pictures in the product description present the necklace very well as something that would be best for informal wear and I also appreciate that a picture of the necklace on a neck dummy was provided so I have a good idea of the length - some necklaces of this brand do not contain this information. The necklace arrived well packaged and in a fairly plain drawstring pouch. I think the price of $12.99 is very reasonable for this solid, well-made necklace. I have several necklaces from this brand, some purchased through the Vine program others at full price and this is one of my favorites.
