My 11 year-old niece loves this as a Christmas gift. It is her first jewelry box. I picked it for the features like the mirror that pulls out and keeps the lid open and the whole things doubles as a small vanity. Perfect for a young girl just beginning her collection. I was impressed with the quality of the pleather outer and velveteen interior. She loved arranging everything from rings, bracelets, chokers to special hairs accessories in all of the different compartments. Small enough and sturdy enough I would consider one for myself just for traveling.
