I needed this adapter to connect a second external monitor to my backup laptop. My main laptop was being repaired and I needed it ASAP. Also, I didn't want to spend a lot on it. He does what he says. So far I haven't had any problems with that. But sometimes the connection drops, but I'm not sure if it's because I didn't connect it properly or because my second monitor is a dinosaur.
