ha ha ha! Vegan skin. I love how they spin it. This is PU (polyurethane) leather, more precisely artificial leather. I really like the durability (and smell) of leather. This artificial material will crack over time. But my vegan friend will love this bag. She was looking for something big enough to fit her files in so she could walk back and forth to work. Most wallets are too narrow at the top for this. This is big enough on all sides.
