After buying two or three different devices (usually a cassette player and a USB cable) none of which worked properly, I decided to give this one a try piece to buy. Should have done it right away. Dubbing old cassettes is very easy! I use it with my home stereo that still has a tape recorder (an old player will do), hook it up to an amplifier, then hook up my laptop and that's it. The software is included with the product. This is Audacity and it can be a little tricky to set up. Fortunately, I know this program well enough that there is no problem. Works great on Windows 10, but had some issues (omissions) on Linux. It allows you to record anything through the headphone jack (Phone to PC: internet radio, podcasts, even Pandora and Spotify etc [probably illegal!]). All in all a great little easy to use device for digitizing your old tapes!
