Replaced bathroom fan motor that has burned out. The fan was an unknown brand that had been installed when the house was built in 1957. The mounting holes matched exactly and the shaft length was right. Mounting hole spacing was 4" and 4/5" B-pillar to B-pillar or 5" outside edge to outside edge. It was a perfect fit for my fan, but if it doesn't fit your fan you can use a small nozzle and drill mounting holes where you need them. This is an easy fix, so don't waste your time trying to find the exact fit by reading through all the fan Q&As like I did. The answer isn't in any of the 30 or so question and answer sets I've read! Just buy this one and change it when you need it. The fan works great and the noise level is comparable to what I took out. As for blade spacing, some complain that the fan blows air out instead of sucking it in. Simply remove the blades from the old engine and install them on the new engine. Another simple solution, so don't waste time looking for a fan with the right blades, just buy this one, make the necessary adjustments and move on! I hope this helps someone! russell
