Review on Purina Pro Plan Weight Management, High Protein Dry and Wet Cat Food for Adult Cats by Tanya Luna

My big boys are healthier and happier on fewer calories!

Update 1/22/21: Don't go into panic mode like me. I reordered this cat food from the same seller and thought the wrong product was delivered. The "gold and black" bags that are currently being shipped are the same product and ingredients in new packaging. Wow! Let me say up front that I've always had smaller cats (not by choice, just because). My new cats are a bonded pair of toms who are considered "big boys". One cat is described as a 'big boy' at 20 pounds and the other at 17 pounds and they are NOT fat! These are also older cats, estimated to be over 10 years of age, which means they are less active and any new weight they have gained will be retained. can get out of control and develop diseases (obesity, diabetes, etc.). In the months leading up to my election, I tried other regular dry foods and calorie-focused weight management products. Yes, cat food labels list calories in kilocalories for cats. Either way, Purina Pro Plan Focus Weight Management is a winner! Both my boys love it at 320kcal/cup which is better than their old meal at 460kcal/cup. A BIG PLUS is that this food is actually healthier, contains probiotics, has no additives or preservatives, comes in more than one bag size (I'm so tired of buying small bags - love 12.5 pounds!) and tastes great their favorite birds (my cats). avoid seafood or beef). The boys are now sharing 3/4 cups a day in addition to their Fancy Feast doses. It's been a little over a month since they started using Pro Plan Focus and they are much more active mornings and evenings. You'll also appear healthier and happier with fewer calories! Would I recommend this food? Yes!
