I fell at home just before Thanksgiving and severely injured my meniscus. 5 months later I'm still in PT for it. Sometime in January, when I was already walking without crutches and the ice was getting worse, I decided to get them. You were a godsend. I was so scared of falling again and they held me up no matter how freezing it was. Just make sure you drive slowly across the icy patch to make sure they hold onto it before proceeding. They are pretty easy to adjust or put on and take off. This was great for shopping or other non-slip but hard surfaces. They are also quite compact when folded, if you bring a bag or something you can put it right in your pocket. Don't let that fool you, they are very strong, no matter how you push or pull on the straps, it didn't feel like they would give or loosen. They kept coming back. It was so nice to feel confident walking this winter. I've fallen a lot on the ice over the years and not once this year. The price was great, especially as they avoided a potentially permanent injury or the need for surgery.
