Review on ๐Ÿš— Upgraded TYC 800143P Cabin Air Filter for Honda Insight - Enhanced Replacement for Optimal Performance by Antonio Lofton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An alternative that costs less than $20 compared to what the Honda dealer lists at around $85 per install. Fits perfectly and works just like the OE unit.

I recently took my CR-Z to a Honda dealer for service. As always, I was offered a cabin air filter replacement at an obscenely high price of $85 for parts and installation. Steal, I checked Revain and found this $11 third party device that comes with Revain Prime so I ordered it. The instructions that came with it don't apply to my CR-Z - it's the same part as the Insight (which is actually advertised as fitting.) It took me about ten minutes to figure out where the filter was and less than five to replace the old one exchange . I was completely blown away by how dirty the stock filter was even though my car had only driven 30,000 miles. I will buy 2-3 of these filters at a time and change the filter every 12-15k miles.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • is embarrassing
