Overheats and freezes/shuts down

This little computer just overheats and freezes, even with no load. It shares the same thermal management issue as its Kangaroo PC predecessor. I thought it would be solved on Kagaroo Plus, but it isn't. I suspect they are doing some magic on Windows to make it crash and work, but even with the lightest Ubuntu running off a live USB device that just sits idle, it gets very hot and eventually turns off due to the temperature control off. I bought a BMAX fanless PC and it works great with the same setup.
