I tried other options like the ones that look like "quotes" but the hook part was causing pain in my ears. I tried the "sleeves" but they definitely didn't fit. We recommend. I bought clear ones to match all the colors of my glasses. But that's personal preference. I have a few black ones that I only use with black frames. We recommend. As one person said, there is a small gap on the side to put your hand through. You don't put it through the hole or the slit, you slide it all the way up your arm so it sits on your temple. You adjust it around the edge of your hand, the part that goes behind your ear. If you can do this you will see that they work great. If you don't understand how the app works, there is a video on YouTube showing how to wrap a rubber band around your hand. Same difference.
