I wasn't expecting much from this when I bought it but I have to say it works REALLY well. Without all the bells and whistles of useless programs and features that most people never use, this is PERFECT for a student or even your elderly parents. Simple and easy to use, and lighter and more compact than an Apple of the same size. I installed Firefox because I really don't like Microsoft; AND I DON'T WANT TO PAY $600 plus FOR APPLE. And it works much better than the installed version of Microsoft Edge Explorer. The ability to open 10 tabs, do different things, and performance was not affected. Whether you're following your social media or streaming Full HD videos, this laptop SHINES! The ad is just great. Although there isn't much space on the hard drive, that's what external drives are for. I've been storing ALL my files on one since I had a major HD failure about 15 years ago. And if you need a word processor, there are many great FREE programs you can use. And the battery life is BETTER than my daughter's Apple! So stop thinking and hit the BUY NOW button!
