It has enough space for dinner for two and a few supplies, but your girlfriend will have to carry a portable fire pit. For example, a fold-out rain jacket and a whistle for "caught with his pants down". Soft in thoughtful areas if you don't. A hip belt helps keep the pack in place while running away from a real or imagined cougar. Reflective strips help bears find you in low light. The bite valve requires full mouth fixation, so choose your hiking partners carefully!
