Poor quality, didn't survive the first ride.

I bought this backpack a few months ago but only used it for the first time this week. We took a trip to the Badlands and I wanted this bag for hiking. The very first time I used a hydration pack, it spread all over my bag. When I went to collect it for my return flight today I noticed a hole in the fabric near the zipper and some of the stitching around the zipper came undone. This is a big disappointment as the size of the bag was perfect for my needs. But I think you get what you pay for. I…

Great hydrator with accessory pockets. I like the size for day trips, but I know you can't pack for the Pacific Coast Trail (or even school) with this kid. It has enough space for dinner for two and a few supplies, but your girlfriend will have to carry a portable fire pit. For example, a fold-out rain jacket and a whistle for "caught with his pants down". Soft in thoughtful areas if you don't. A hip belt helps keep the pack in place while running away from a real or imagined cougar. Reflective

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Minor issues

I bought 2 of these for a trip to San Francisco and Sequoia/Kings Canyon. They were perfect for both of you. I've since bought 3 more (now I have one of each color) so the whole family has one. We love her. You can actually fit a ton of stuff in it, and bungee straps are great for attaching trekking poles etc (I added a couple of D-ring clips). You can also tightly sync the bag if you don't carry much. The hydration pouch is perfect, although we took 2L of extra water with us on longer hikes…

Great for day trips

This is my second purchase. I bought one and had to get another one for my husband because we loved him so much. The only downside is the quality of the flash. The zippers are easy to close and do not work very smoothly. The mouthpiece doesn't release as much water as some others I've used, but it still works. Otherwise, it's the perfect bag for a day hike. I love that I can fit my camera, map, jacket, water, snacks, hiking poles, first aid kit, etc. in one bag that fits comfortably at a great…

Come for the package, stay for customer service.

In the preface to this review I would like to say that I rarely write a review. However, in this case, I think it is necessary for every buyer to know what they are buying. I recently received this package because I have an old camel cow that I want to give to my son. I wanted to replace it with something comparable but didn't want to spend the $150 I spent on the Camel. I received this package and drove very well with it. And for the price I can't find anything better. This package rivals, if…

Great package for a great price!

I took this TETON Sports Oasis 1100 hydration pack to replace a bulkier standard pack and I am very happy with its performance, capacity and looks. As an archaeologist, I subject my equipment to very harsh conditions and conditions of use. I'm sure this pack will last for many seasons to come - it's already survived many wild rose and "accidental ground contact" falls unscathed! Not only is it durable, but it's also deceptively roomy. I've included a picture of everything I take with me on my…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

I am rewriting my review of this product as my first impression was not very good and I have seen what many have complained about but here is the kicker. The biggest complaints about this product are the leaking water bladder, the strap isn't strong enough, the hose is difficult to drink from, and the zippers are flimsy and prone to breaking. I will be using this hydration pack for the R2R2R (look for it) so it's intense and I need a durable pack that isn't too big but has a hydration reservoir

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions

I need a hydration pack that is great for long hikes, has enough room for a few essentials and isn't bulky because I have a small have physique. It also had to be light because I wanted to be able to run longer distances in it and not weigh myself down. It also had to be cheap. I could find packages that met at least one of these criteria, but I wanted the complete package. I checked the size, it was about the size I wanted and had enough room for my needs. I looked at the price and it's within

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Very Expensive
