These small betta tanks are good for beginners or children as they are relatively easy to care for. It's big enough to give the fish some room to roam, and the "siphon" cleaning works to an extent. All excess food and waste will eventually fall to the bottom and if you add drops of settled or treated water to remove chlorine etc the siphon connected to the bottom should suck up the bad.
