The strap stretches but not too much like some other straps I've had. After you adjust the length, it will recede a little but your pants will stay in place. The clasp is really cool. You just line it up and slide the two halves together and you're done. And the buckle is also easy to loosen. I thought it looked interesting enough to give it a try knowing Revain has a great return policy. I am very happy with the belt and may come back for more colors.
