Review on Monoprice Curved Ultrawide Gaming Monitor 34", 165Hz, Adaptive Sync, ‎142772 by Darius Mendoza

Update June 2021: I bought two of these displays in October. As stated in the original review, one of them has completely failed and does not display a picture. It was quickly replaced by Monoprice support, but unfortunately that didn't end my problems and the display replacement revealed the defect as well. Monoprice support gave me a workaround to replace this new faulty display and so I'm updating this review to reflect the fact that I no longer recommend this company or any of the products they make. Below is a first overview. I have no complaints about the colors and contrast of the monitor. I replaced an outdated 1080p monitor with this one, so it was actually comparatively better. The colors are great, the refresh rate is great and I also like the curvature of the display. Unfortunately I bought two of these displays and 6 months after purchase one stopped showing an image. Just a black screen. I couldn't even get into the monitor's OSD menu. Monoprice customer support was great and they sent out a replacement quickly. The new display works perfectly. I'm very sensitive to dead pixels - my old Asus display had a dot in the middle. I haven't seen a single dead pixel on any of the three displays I've used. Hope this is the end of my troubles otherwise the monitor was great.
