Review on Monoprice Curved Ultrawide Gaming Monitor 34", 165Hz, Adaptive Sync, ‎142772 by Tyler Fournier

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm leaving a review because there are so few reviews.

Hello, I bought this monitor to replace my 25 inch VIOTEK 1920x1080 monitor and I couldn't be happier. I decided to leave a review because there were so few reviews for this product and after looking at many Youtube reviews of this monitor I found two comparable options, the AOC CU34GSX and the VIOTEK version. At the time of purchase it was the cheapest for me ($450) so I got it. Delivery was great. The monitor is placed between two pieces of foam that fit snugly against the sides of the box, and then that box is placed inside another Revain box. It was very easy to set up. You'll need a screwdriver to attach this thing to its own mount. However, you should be aware that the mount is quite large/wide and also has a part that makes the screen protrude more than I would like, making the screen closer to my eyes than I would like. May be. However, you can easily fix this with a monitor mount! Finally, the monitor is heavier than other 34-inch monitors, so keep that in mind when shopping for a monitor arm. The quality is excellent in my opinion, especially since I assume a 1920x1080 monitor. I don't see any dead pixels. Operating system "old" version where you have to press any button to move the settings, not the joystick, but I'm used to it and for me it's not a problem at all. It has FreeSync capability, but if you have an NVIDIA GPU, it also "enables" G-Sync. You just have to enable it in your operating system and then do it in your Windows settings through the NVIDIA Control Panel. I had to calibrate the colors by finding someone else's settings on the network. Finally the little things. A DisplayPort cable was included, so that came in handy! The monitor supports the VESA standard (75x75). It turns on/off with your PC, which my VIOTEK monitor didn't. It has a blue LED that shines on the bottom toward your desk to indicate it's on (NOT on the front). It has a red RGB effect that I disabled in the OS. It also has an audio jack, so make sure you select the correct audio if using your own headphones or speakers in the audio settings (just in case your audio is muted when you first connect the monitor). This is a great monitor if you're looking to spend money in the budget category of 34-inch monitors with 3440 x 1440 144Hz resolution.
