Review on Enhanced Viewing Experience with the Viewsonic VP191B ThinEdge HD LCD Monitor by Brandon Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very clear picture, no more tired eyes

I bought a Viewsonic 19" ThinEdge as an external monitor for my Toshiba Satellite laptop. I don't currently have a digital port on the laptop so I can only give analog video feedback. I have to say it's very impressed in analog mode vivid colors the 600:1 contrast ratio really makes a difference as you see image contrasts that are imperceptible on older monitors I never expected the monitor to be so great it's more expensive it's also one of ViewSonic's newest monitors since it was released in April 2003, a month earlier than at the time of writing this review. The only problem is that on all laptops the driver installation wasn't straight forward.I had to set up an additional hardware profile, one for the home display and the other for the built-in display for my safe use This monitor is not equipped with a built-in spam core, its functionalities The power is in the monitor itself. You'll have to buy external speakers, which is probably a good thing since we all complain about the quality of the built-in speakers that come with most monitors.

Pros
  • Accepts standard DVD-I analog and digital inputs
Cons
  • Dead Pixels: These are defective pixels that remain black or glow solid on the display.
