Review on ๐Ÿ’พ Inateck 2.5 to 3.5 SSD Mounting Bracket with SATA Cable and Power Splitter Cable - ST1002S by Leslie Wallace

I'm happy with that. fits computers and accessories

Good buy in my opinion. Good price and I like the cables that come with it. A splitter was a must for me and the straight cable or 90 degree cable option was good. Having a screwdriver was a nice touch, but having a magnetic-tipped screwdriver would have been much better. I could just go around the house to see if we have a little magnetic-tipped screwdriver, but I didn't think it would take that long. I underestimated the difficulty of keeping that annoyingly tiny screw straight while trying to fit the top SSD into the stupid hole. But all the pain of aligning the screws wasn't even as bad as working with the SATA cable. The cable that came with the mount was fine (since it came with a straight cable), but 90 degrees just didn't work. The problem was that I had to connect two SSDs and only had a straight cable (because the cable I was already using on my computer also had a 90 degree connector). The bracket places the SSD too deep into the platter for the port to hang over the edge, so a 90-degree turn puts the connector square into the metal. This forces you to rotate 90 degrees the other way, which takes you straight to the other slots for your second SSD. So you have to put 90 on the top SSD instead of the bottom one, but then put 90 points right on the edge of my case/3.5 slots. The cable has to make that awkward, instant 270-degree bend. I couldn't just attach 90 to the side of the motherboard because it had the same problem with SATA ports where 90 on one port would block another SATA port. In general, it fits, it works, I'm satisfied. The component quality is good, and it's not their fault I don't have another straight connector, and it's not their fault I have big dumb fingers that hate working with tiny screws. But it would be nice if they designed the edge of the mounting bracket to line up perfectly with the end of the 2.5" drive so the 90 degree SATA connector could actually detach the bracket. But at this price I probably shouldn't even complain.
