This is not stamped sheet metal but solid casting. The Medium Bronze I bought weighed 450g, just under a pound. I was a bit disappointed with the price but after getting it and feeling the weight I'm fine now. "Velvet" is actually a type of coated plastic. I hear a rustle at the bottom where the fabric doesn't reach the bottom of the box but hangs about 1/8 inch above it. I am sure that at some point it will tear with the things in the box. although it looks and feels good. I really want to pay attention and understand that there is no locking or locking mechanism. The weight of the lid makes it secure enough to sit on a shelf, but I expect it will need to be handled frequently and I would prefer anything, anything, to secure this lid. The sizes and photos in the listing were correct. People who complain about it being small really should use some paper to fold the small model with the measurements given to get a feel for what the IRL.TL sizes look like; DR - Knowing the bad alternatives to this on AMZ and reading the description carefully, I'm not disappointed at all as I don't think I could do any better in this price range. , but with slightly better padding and some sort of closer/latch I went from "not disappointed" to "extremely pleased".
