I bought this adapter to connect my laptop to an LCD monitor. The first adapter I received was identified as a USB 2.0 device. My laptop never recognized an external monitor port. Using the Thunderbolt Dock, I verified that the Thunderbolt connector and DisplayPort cable are working as the monitor was successfully recognized and I was able to use it. I replaced the anchor adapter with a second one, thinking the first one might be bad. Replacing the adapter was worse. When I plugged it into the Thunderbolt port, the laptop's display flickered uncontrollably. I'm sending the second one back. I checked the Anker website for support. I could not find this product on the Anker website.
